Yes I always think of Andy as a nice guy name! Dylan is an interesting one I don’t know any grown up Dylan’s but I always associate it with a bad boy image although actually my friends little boy is the cutest and he’s Dylan!

Charlie Tom and Jack seem to have the top votes on friendliest so far haha, I wonder if it’s the sound of the name that makes it sound friendly or the majority of friendly people known by this name that make it so?!

According to Baby Name Wizard (American website and name books), the friendliest names are Adam, Andy, Ben, Charlie, Evan, Jack, Jake, Sam, Steve, Tim, Tom and Will for boys and Amy, Annie, Ellie, Emily, Katie, Laura, Molly, Sadie and Sarah for girls.

Obviously this is a few years out of date and mostly US based polling (plus might be on adult names too - how many baby Stevens and Timothys are there now?) but it seems people often find one or two syllable names "friendly", especially if they are nicknames or end in an "ee" sound - I must admit I instantly thought of Sam, Will, Jack and Tom for boys myself.

Unusual name but I've known two Barneys in my life and both have been happy, outgoing, couldn't do more for you young men!
