So many lovely girls names it's hard to choose. Which would you pick from the following:

Daisy
Mia
Poppy
Alice
Isla
Grace

Thank you xx

Daisy - nice but a bit frumpy
Mia - Mere. Overused and lots of similar names like Maia, Maya, Mya, Mila
Poppy -nice
Alice - would use
Isla - pretty but overused, would need to be ok with surname
Grace - not keen

Phoebesgift · 09/11/2021 10:10

They're all too sweet/cutesy/overused. Phoebe?

Srettel · 09/11/2021 10:57

Alice
Daisy
Grace
Isla
Poppy
Mia

thewhatsit · 09/11/2021 10:59

1 Alice
2 Grace

Daisy - not a fan of cutsey flower names that only suit toddlers (IMO)
Mia - not a fan, bit wishy washy
Poppy - see Daisy
Alice - it’s ok but getting really popular
Isla - really like it but it’s soooooo overused. Massively popular and she’ll be the 75th Isla at school
Grace - see Isla. Also way overused as a middle name, often hyphenated with names like Isla.

abigailsnan · 09/11/2021 12:25

Alice has always been a favourite with me.

whitecrayon · 09/11/2021 12:42

Alice and Isla are probably the only two I like from that list

RestingStitchFace · 09/11/2021 14:54
  1. Alice
  2. Isla
  3. Grace Mia, Poppy and Daisy last

Daisy
Mia
Poppy
Alice
Isla
Grace

SparklyGlasses · 09/11/2021 14:57

For me:

  1. Alice
  2. Poppy
  3. Grace
finallychangedmyusername · 09/11/2021 16:18

I adore Alice.

Isla is too popular for me personally, sorry and I find Poppy and Daisy a bit twee. Grace would be my second choice, it's a nice name but I'd worry about having a not-particularly-graceful Grace. Mia is ok but blends in with a sea of Mila, Emilia etc.

If you're after suggestions: Sophie, Lucy, Amy, Mary.

Fivebeanchilli · 09/11/2021 19:14

Daisy - lovely. I would struggle to choose between this and Alice. Daisy is more feisty for me so I think I'd probably pick this from your list.
Mia - no. I find this weak sounding
Poppy - I like this
Alice - this would be my second choice i think
Isla - it's ok. Just so popular.
Grace - don't like. This is a bit like Mia for me. Meh....

FindingMeno · 09/11/2021 19:15

Mia then Isla

Luredbyapomegranate · 09/11/2021 19:25

Grace - not all that popular as a first name, and a classic
Alice and Isla are nice too, but very overused
Mia is faddy, and way overused
Poppy and Daisy drippy IMO and bit overused also

Lemonsyellow · 09/11/2021 19:42

1:Grace
2:Alice
3:Poppy

AnyaMoondial · 09/11/2021 20:13

I like Grace, it’s very clean and strong sounding.

user1493494961 · 09/11/2021 21:02

Alice.

Grace is very popular as a first name it’s ranked no 11 ahead of Poppy, Daisy and Alice
TenThousandSpoons · 09/11/2021 21:50

Alice but I like them all.

RuthW · 09/11/2021 21:56

Alice then Daisy. I don't like the others

WeasilyPleased · 09/11/2021 22:08

Alice.

emma342 · 11/11/2021 01:55

Mia

Welcometothejingles · 11/11/2021 06:38

Only Alice/Alicia from your list as there are lots of girls in my dc's school with the names below as they're so common round here. There are 4 Daisy's in dd's class so they're known as Daisy H, Daisy W etc.

Daisy - Dahlia, Violet, Iris, Rosa/Rose, Hazel, Heather, not so popular floral names
Mia - Mabel, Mabli, Marissa, Melissa if you're after an m sound
Poppy - Jasmine, Ivy, Azalea, Clover, Cassia
Alice or Alicia is perfect
Isla - Iona is a less common alternative
Grace - Hope, Faith, Verity, Felicity, Amity

Daisy
