Finn Hendrick or Hendrix

Think we have decided in Finn for our boy.

Do you prefer Finn Hendrick or Finn Hendrix for a middle name?

Also toyed with Arlo but partner days Finn Arlo sounds a bit like 'finale' 😂

Any other suggestions welcome 😊

Maybe depends what gave you the H name?

Lozzak21 · 05/11/2021 18:29

@Pumpkinsonparade just like the sound of it but thouglht it was a bit too edgy for a first name so might be nice as a middle name instead

Really struggle with boys name. I struggled with my first son too.

I have had dogs called Finn and Arlo. So no to both. Finn in particular is a popular dog name here

@takemetomars any non dog related name suggestions?

I'd absolutely go for the Hendrix spelling, but then I'm a bit of a Jimmy fan.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 05/11/2021 18:42

I also prefer Hendrix of the two. Personally I used middle names for family names or names with a specific meaning/reason - since they're rarely actually used. That is obv irrelevant to you but... Grin

AuntDympna · 05/11/2021 18:57

Love Hendrix!
Love Finn too...

edgeware · 05/11/2021 19:05

I’m Dutch. Hendrik is my fathers name, both! grandfather’s names. Hendrik.

Mouk · 05/11/2021 19:16

Finn Hendrick

I love the name Finn. My son is named Finn.

MrsFoxyplease · 05/11/2021 19:18

Finn Hendrick

WeRTheOnesWeHaveBeenWaitingFor · 05/11/2021 19:20

I love Hendrick

Lozzak21 · 05/11/2021 19:21

Thanks ladies. I'm leaning more towards the Hendrick spelling I think

Def Hendrick-nice and strong with much more longevity.

Think Hendrix is TTH to be edgy-poor boy will have it his whole life.

I know someone who has a Dexter and a Hendrix. Think maybe naming for scrabble points?

Anystarinthesky · 05/11/2021 19:30

I prefer Hendrick.

GumsAndTeeth · 05/11/2021 19:31

I prefer Henrik / Henrick - think Hendrick is quite harsh sounding.

Finn is a lovely name and I actually love Hendrix as a middle name for it though!

DeedIDo · 05/11/2021 19:31

Henrickx?

toastofthetown · 06/11/2021 08:29

I prefer the sound of Hendrix, but that’s without knowing your surname. As it’s a middle name, I’d just go with what you like best though, as middle names aren’t used often.

crumpet · 06/11/2021 08:31

I know a Hendrick. The name really suits him. Hen (or Hennie when younger) for short

crumpet · 06/11/2021 08:32

(Hm - it’s possibly spelt without the c!)

MonsteraDeliciosa · 06/11/2021 13:09

I like both!
I prefer Hendrick (or Hendrik) but like Hendrix, too!

SummerLew · 06/11/2021 14:15

I have an almost 20 year old Finn. He loves his name 🙂

Finn Hendrik for me. Without the C.

SillyBub · 06/11/2021 14:19

I know a Finn Henrik

PanicBuyingSprouts · 06/11/2021 14:24

The middle names are so rarely used I'd just go for the one you prefer.

sageandbasil · 06/11/2021 15:53

Hendrix

IVflytrap · 06/11/2021 17:10

Hendrick is the first name and Hendrix/Hendricks is the surname. Like William and Williams or Edward and Edwards.

I would go with Hendrick, but if you are a huge Jimmy Hendrix fan, then Hendrix might be a nice nod to that.
