Brady and Julia are my kids names and we will be having a baby girl. Any suggestions on names? We are leaning towards Emma but not completely sold because it is so popular right now.

Emma isn’t super popular where I live, I haven’t met a baby Emma in years! It’s a lovely, classic name, like Julia.

Other names I like

Esme
Carrie
Maia
Rosa

. I'd typically expect Brady to have a sister named Shannon. Kendall. Cassidy Addison and Julia to have a brother named Francis Thomas Andrew. Anthony something along those lines. However you don't seem to have a naming style That's a good thing as you could go with anything really.
I love Emma. The youngest Emma I know is 22. I think it'd sound very fresh on a baby.

Emma sounds good to me. You don't say what kind of names you like. I like strong sounding names, especially for girls. I tend to avoid any that end with diminutives eg -ette

So I like Julia too. Other suggestions:

Elizabeth
Joanna
Laura
Andrea
Gabriella
Amelia
Ellen
Helen
Freya
Louisa
Maya

DD who is 19 has several friends called Emma

It’s not a favourite of mine I must admit. I’ve always found it a bit meh but that’s just my opinion. Names to go with your other dc might be;
Nina
Celine
Frances
Annie
Sarah

I don't like Julia and Emma together at all, even though I like the names individually. Say the 3 names out loud and you'll see why.

Suggestions:
Emily
Cassie
Josie
Penny
Zoe
Lexie

I think a 1 syllable would sound the best though
Bea
Eve
Kate

Anna
Martha

Are you in the states? Emma here (UK) is not popular at all for kids, more of a classic that wouldn’t raise any eyebrows but not overrun.

Brady, Julia and Annabel?

Emma is still fairly popular in the UK (If that’s where you are), it’s a classic and it goes nicely with Julia.

Marimaur · 07/11/2021 22:45

Emma is classic. It’s beautiful.

VenusClapTrap · 08/11/2021 10:13

I find Emma a bit dull. But that’s probably because I went to school with millions of them. I agree with pp that a single syllable name like Kate or Anne would go well.
