I like it, although I wouldn't use it if she's born in December. Smile

Love Mary! Middle names aren’t my taste but would go for Flora of the two

Susiesquirrel · 01/11/2021 12:04

Of those I prefer Mary Matilda. I like Mary Ann as she can choose to be Mary Ann or Mary as she grows up.

moocow123 · 01/11/2021 12:12

Not a fan of the name Mary however I think Mary Matilda flows best :)

RuthW · 01/11/2021 12:20

Srettel · 01/11/2021 13:15

piglet81 · 01/11/2021 13:38

Love it! Very fresh and unusual nowadays.

MissyB1 · 01/11/2021 13:38

Mary is a beautiful name (and also my sister’s name).
Mary Matilda is pretty but I prefer pp’s suggestion of Mary Anne

Pemba · 01/11/2021 13:39

Very nice! Classic and well overdue for a comeback.
Both the middle names work well.

GreyhoundG1rl · 01/11/2021 13:39

Love it.

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 01/11/2021 13:42

No I don't love it. Too religious and too austere for me.

Bellyups · 01/11/2021 13:43

I really don’t like Mary. I love your middle names though

Anycolourwilldo · 01/11/2021 13:45

I think it's a timeless classic. It works with both but I personally prefer Mary Matilda.

Seaweedhair · 01/11/2021 13:48

Mary is a beautiful name and totally underused at the moment

Pieceofpurplesky · 01/11/2021 13:52

Mary is a beautiful name for any age. I think Mary Matilda of your choices but Mary Anne, Mary Jayne etc flow better

yikesanotherbooboo · 01/11/2021 15:02

I adore Mary .
It's a classic name and current.
Mary Matilda flows well.
I I'm a fan of MaryAnn too.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 01/11/2021 18:11

Mary Matilda is great - you have an uncommon now but very classic first name (with some wonderful historical namesakes) combined with a much more currently popular but still traditional middle name. Cute nn choices too in May, Mamie ("May -mee") and Mimi.

ISeeTheLight · 01/11/2021 18:13

I like Mary but prefer Marie. Either way both of your options are nice. Mathilda is a but more timeless compared to Flora (which is incredibly popular at the moment; I know 2 toddlers with the name).

DramaAlpaca · 01/11/2021 23:50

Yes I like it, and I'd pick Mary Matilda.

I like Mary Florence better than Mary Flora.

MysticCT · 02/11/2021 00:01

I don't like Mary at all and it's my middle name.
Matilda is much nicer and Tilly is lovely for a nickname.

AosSi · 02/11/2021 00:15

Love it. Such a refreshing change from all the Ellie/Ella/Amelia etc names. As for Tilly... please, no. Twee central.

Mary Matilda is much nicer, I think Mary Flora suffers from both names being too similar in length - Mary Florence would be fine.

SE13Mummy · 02/11/2021 00:18

I love Mary as a first name and think it goes better with Matilda than Flora. I can think of one 17-yr-old Mary but few others that I know who are younger than that. It's a popular middle name for that age group though; I know teens named Alice Mary, Meghan Mary, Rachel Mary, Imogen Mary...

thewhatsit · 02/11/2021 06:07

Mary Matilda is great.

Mary is such a great name. Universally known, no spelling or pronunciation issues yet hardly used.

BeKindBeYou · 02/11/2021 06:28
