Are the name initials SAC, or SIC, unfair to use. I love both names but am worried about the initials spelling SAC (making people think Ballsac), or SIC (making people think, well, sick), am I totally over thinking or would you hate to have these initials? thanks in advance for you help x

I don't think either of those are a big deal.

Sac, even if I noticed (which I doubt - I don't know any of my friends' full initials), would only make me think of a bag (like the French sac-a-dos). I'd never in a million years associate it with ballsac. Way overthinking.

Sic makes me think of "spelled like thiis [sic]". I don't think that's a problem either.

Much better than my DU whose initials spell FAT.

I think these are fine. Sac(k) and sic(k) are fairly innocuous words.

Maybe stay away from SUC...!

My initials were SAC before I was married and they were totally fine growing up (in my 40s now so a while ago!)

Can't see it being an issue. And if anyone does cop it they aren't exactly bad words. I didn't think ball sac, I thought of a sack of spuds!

PlainJane1000 · 27/10/2021 20:34

I wouldn't think anything of either of these, I'd say it's absolutely fine.

Shasha17 · 29/10/2021 00:37

I think they're both pretty bad - essentially 'sick' and 'sack'. Id personally not use either because of the potential for teasing

This absolutely would never make me think sick
