what do you all think of the names Margaret Alexandra Grace and Mary Alice Louise

Apart from Margaret, all very lovely.

I like Maggie for Margaret, but not Margaret.
And I prefer Louise and Alice.

I’m not keen on Margaret but the rest are lovely.

I don't like Alexandra so prefer Mary Alice Louise which is just perfect.

I do like Margaret and Grace. I would change Alexandra to Anna or Emma or Emily.

Mary Alice Louise is really pretty. I don't particularly like the other name.

I love Margaret, I think it's due a come back. Maggie is a very sweet nickname, as is Meg.

I like them both. Strong, and not twee. I like Margaret a lot. It’s an old name that’s due a comeback, and lots of good nicknames. Mary is also great. It’s fresh these days.

I think I'd choose Alexandra Margaret or Margaret Alexandra in your case. Slight edge for Alexandra because I love it, but Margaret is an underused classic and also very nice.

I like it too @MirandaBlu, there weren't many in my age group but plenty had it as a middle name. It was the top name in the 30s and 40s, so would have been a mum's name

Like Elizabeth, it has lots of options for 'nicknames', and which ones are popular go in trends.

20 years ago I would never have foreseen that Elsie and Margot would become very popular.

Mary and Margaret are lovely and classic, but very underused now. I slightly prefer Mary (both for historical/namesake reasons plus I love the nn May) but Margaret is far more versatile in terms of nn choice (over a dozen options! My faves are Mae, Maggie and Greta).

I don't think middle names matter as much but I especially like Alexandra and Alice (prefer Louisa over Louise and think Grace is a bit overused, although pretty).
