Our top three boys names at the moment are

Crew
Myles
Gio

What do you think of those names?

Finding it hard to pair with awkward surname and would ideally rather a one syllable name. Any others would may be able to add to the list?

I love Miles but not the others

Crew is awful, the others are nice!

Gio- nice, I’m assuming you are Italian, if not I’d think a bit strange

Myles/Miles would be my choice 😊 I like both spellings too.
Max and Myles/Miles were our choices for our DS1 - we went with Max 😊 if we have DS2 he will very likely be Myles 😊

Gio-only if one of you is Italian.
Crew- totally awful.

I love Max too but we know a few little Max's around here so think it's too popular in our area. Gutted though as it would be a front runner! @IcedCoffeeAlways gorgeous name for your little boy!

I love Gio! What about Cruz?

Cruz is nice but DH doesn't like it. To be honest, after posting this, I prefer Myles/Miles.

Still looking for some other suggestions to add though as we want to have some options to consider

I like Miles best off your list. Gio is ok, but I would be bemused to meet a Crew, it sounds made up.

If you like Max, why does it matter if it's popular? DS is George, one of the most annoyingly popular names - he was the only one in his group through nursery, he's the only one in his year at school, and he's generally been the only one in his groups at his clubs. Apart from swimming - there's now a George in his group of 6. It's taken us 7 years though!

@EekThreek I can totally see what you mean, but we know little Max's personally so the name now belongs to them, to us. We want something that feels our own ☺️

Crew is terrible. It’s not a name.
Gio is a diminutive. I’d only use it - in the longer form - if you’re Italian.
