Flora Katherine or Josephine Iris

Firstly, sorry if I've posted this twice. I'm sure I posted it but then it disappeared!

Which name do you prefer? Flora will be Flo I expect. Josephine Josie, Effie, or Posey, whatever comes naturally.

I have a Josephine Florence. I think Josephine Iris sound lovely together.

Mine gets called Josie mainly but also Josie-Jo, JoJo or Jose. Never thought of Effie as a nickname for her to be honest.

My Nan was a Josephine so was my Aunty and it’s one of my middle names. Nan got Judy or Josie mainly but my aunt was always known as Joan, I guess it was easier when they lived in the same house.

I like Celestine too but not as much as Josephine, but I love family names

I think I posted on your last thread. My DD is Flora. She very rarely gets Flo, mostly Flossie. It's a lovely name. No one (since naming her) has mentioned the margarine, except me!

Josephine Iris is lovely. Josie or Posy are lovely shortenings too.

Love flora, detest flo as think of periods. Not a fan of Josephine but I do like Josie and when they are little, Jojo. Hate effie, makes me think of swearing! Posy is ok but wouldn’t associate it with Josephine.

Love your taste, Flora is a favourite of mine. My DD3 would have been Flora if I'd got my way.

Flora Katherine is lovely - not keen on Josephine, I always feels it belongs to a particularly humourless woman for some reason. Never heard of Effie being a nickname for it either - I’ve only ever known it for Euphemia.
