...and no name.

We do not know the sex. I'm convinced I'm having a boy, though.

So...

Hugo or Thomas?

Madeleine or Erin?

Surname begins with A, if that helps.

Thomas. Hugo is a bit upper middle, junior Boden type name for me.

Madeleine and Erin both good, prefer Madeleine.

I prefer Hugo and Erin from your choices. The other two are nice but are likely to be shortened so you probably have to like their nicknames too.
By the way Hugo was ranked #51 in 2020 so a lot more mainstream than previously, in case the upper/middle class comment puts you off. Good luck.

Thank you all for being so nice.

The middle class thing is exactly how I feel, and it's just not us at all. My worry is people will think I'm trying to appear posher than I am 🤣

I love all of them!

At a push, maybe Hugo and Madeleine, but they're all lovely

Cuntness · 21/10/2021 19:40

I'm just on the Boden website, just in case...

Thank you. I don't really like unique or "out there" names. I'm really struggling this time!

Hugo is so popular now that I wouldn’t worry about ‘posh’ connotations. I prefer Madeleine and Thomas (but I don’t like Tom, so probably would choose Hugo).

I much prefer Madeleine and Thomas.

Adventing · 22/10/2021 18:38

All lovely names, at a push I'd go for Thomas and Erin, is it your first DC?

Cuntness · 22/10/2021 18:55

No. My second. We found out the sex at 16 weeks with my son so had his name pretty much locked in (Samuel). I don't know if it's because we've not found out, but nothing feels "right" this time.

I might just have to leave it until the baby is here but I like to be organised so it's hard for me 🤣

I love Thomas :)

adventuresinmotherland · 23/10/2021 20:14

Agree with the comments about Hugo but what about Hugh? It is a great, not too popular, name with options of nicknames, like Huey, when younger.
