These are just two names DH and I love
I know they're both rather popular but I think they're really pretty! what do you prefer? Maisie or Ella

How about Gabriella or Estelle?

RuthW · 21/10/2021 12:15

Ella. Maisie is to cute for an adult.

HereWeGoAgains · 21/10/2021 12:27

Neither.

Maisie is too cutsey and Ella is just drippy and wet and nothing.

Mazie

Ella

Maisie sounds cutesy and as if it will date.

If I had to adopt one of these names as my own it would definitely be Ella. I'd just feel a bit silly telling people my name was Maisie.

SapphosRock · 21/10/2021 13:27

Ella is a gorgeous, classic name. Definitely Ella.

Maisie Mouse 🐭

Chachachawoo · 21/10/2021 14:45

We have an Ella and know only a handful of others even though it's very popular.
She often gets compliments on it. For me it's short elegant and feminine without being too cutesy or frilly

alpinerain · 21/10/2021 15:44

Ella

I always find Maisie a bit cutesy. Nice for a 5 year old girl but I can't imagine a serious, professional adult woman called Maisie - Imagine a barrister or lawyer being called Maisie. Apologies to all the adult Maisies!

Lalliella · 04/11/2021 23:53

Ella is beautiful, ageless and classic.

Narnianoon · 05/11/2021 15:17

Sorry, I find them both quite dull. Maisie is very cutesy. Ella will just merge into all of the other Ellies, Eleanors, Ellens, Elsies etc.

How about May or Maeve?

Esther, Erin, Erica, Etta?
