Dd1 is called Alyssa. Due Dd2 in 2 weeks and we like the name Alexis. Are they too similar?
We would call her Lexi most of the time probably.

I think they are a bit similar and quite hard to say together.

IAmSantaOhYesIAm · 12/10/2021 22:30

Too many A snd S sounds.
Do you shorten Alyssa to anything?
Beatrix gives you the option of Trixie as a nn which is similar sounding to lexi.

samwitwicky · 12/10/2021 22:33

I like it. They might sound similar but your girls will take on those names and give them their own personality

Go with your gut!

CoolStoryBruh · 12/10/2021 22:36

I don't think Alexis is a suitable name since the Amazon device came out.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 12/10/2021 22:40

Far too similar yes

Voice0fReason · 12/10/2021 22:42

Too similar and I would steer clear of Alex.... due to Amazon

alpinerain · 13/10/2021 06:39

They are quite similar but I wouldn't say they're too similar, especially if she will go by Lexi most of the time.

zippidydooday · 13/10/2021 06:40

I know siblings called Orla and Isla.
If you like it then go for it!

daisypond · 13/10/2021 07:28

I like Alexis but I do think it’s too similar to Alyssa, but if you’re going to call her Lexi it’s probably all right.
