Miles is nice and unusual. Jack was the number 1 boys name for years in the UK, so is a bit dull now. Charles is a good classic name.

KirstenBlest · 06/10/2021 09:37

Charles
They are all ok.

Dreamsupreme · 06/10/2021 14:07

Thanks , probably leaning towards Charles now

If I were to have a boy, he would be Miles. All nice names though x

toastofthetown · 06/10/2021 17:57

Miles. The other two are much duller.

TheWashingMachine · 06/10/2021 18:16

Charles is my favourite and FWIW I don't think Prince Charles will actually be king. Miles is too wannabe. Jack, I agree about "Jack the lad"

DoodleBelle · 06/10/2021 18:18

I’d go with Charles

Pemba · 06/10/2021 18:25

I don't like Charles, it is too upper class (although Charlie is cute) - maybe I am negative towards it because of the awful Prince. If you want a classic name, James, Edward, William, Thomas etc are all nicer. How about Frederick?

Either Jack or Miles are so much nicer than Charles.

gambianwife · 06/10/2021 18:26

How about Myles with a Y?

I love that name :)

Balonzette · 06/10/2021 18:36

Jack to me is overdone but a charming name. I imagine a Jack to be handsome and friendly and chatty and fun.

Charles to me is boring and unattractive. I imagine a Charles to be posh but very unappealing. A Boris Johnson type but more dull.

Miles is the best of all three. I like it less than Jack but it's the least boring.

IShoveLula · 06/10/2021 18:37

Miles is nice. Myles is horrible

Pemba · 06/10/2021 19:32

Stuffy is the word I was looking for. Charles is a stuffy name to me. Can't imagine a young, cool Charles. James on the other hand is lovely. And yet they're quite similar names really. (I know it's illogical!)

Charley50 · 06/10/2021 19:34

I love the name Charlie

londongirl2701 · 06/10/2021 20:46

Miles

VanillaAndOrange · 06/10/2021 21:47

I don't like Jack that much, but I like it best out of this list. Both Miles and Charles make me think of pompous upper-class types. Charlie sounds friendlier and you could probably get away with using it as a name in its own right.

LouLikesLollies · 07/10/2021 10:01

I love jack. Might be overused but it’s a classic for a reason!

pilates · 07/10/2021 10:06

I love Jack too!
The other two are ok.

Dreamsupreme · 07/10/2021 14:16

Thanks my family like Jack , it’s a hard decision!

I love Miles!

Unsure1983 · 09/10/2021 05:58

I like Jack.

AdriannaP · 09/10/2021 06:11

Miles is lovely - couldn’t use it as it didn’t go with the surname. We also thought about Charles but the future king thing put me off. I do know a young and lovely Charles in his 20ies so don’t find it stuffy.

LouLion · 09/10/2021 07:33

If I had a son, he'd be called Miles. Jack is nice. Not keen on Charles, though charlie is sweet for a little boy.

CormoranStrike · 09/10/2021 09:53

They are all fine names, but I feel Jack is slightly overused now.

Charlie is lovely - ones a strong contender for me.

Angel2702 · 09/10/2021 09:55

I would pick miles. Charles is nice but Charlie is every other boy at the moment so if being very popular is an issue for you I’d big for the less popular choice.

gillybombilly · 09/10/2021 10:07

My dad is Charles and it always sounds lovely when I hear it.

Husbands middle name is Miles and I think it’s such a shame that he never gets to use it!

I agree that Jack is very, very popular.
