Any suggestions? I want a name that is easy to pronounce, with the correct pronunciation ie not an anglicised pronunciation such as Adam. Bonus points if easy to spell. Heritage wise, baby will have Azerbaijani/ Iranian/ British heritage but Arabic names are obviously fine too. We are thinking of going with Zayn atm as it's about the only thing DH seems to like! Just wondering if anyone has anything we've not thought of already, my only gripe with Zayn is that it can't be shortened to make any type of nickname haha.

Zayn can be shortened to Zee.

Zee-Zee would be a very cute nn for a LO Smile

We had the exact same issue and we called him Zayne - we changed the spelling as we thought it looked nicer with the e.

Having the same issue again and can't find another name we like - edging towards Micah though :)

We already have a girl and we don't know the sex of this one, so we have a girl's name lined up already but DH just doesn't seem to like any boys names! Zayn was the one we had for last time if DD was a boy so probably stick with that.

I've not heard/seen Micah as a Muslim name before, how is it pronounced and which culture(s) is it used in?

A lot of the suggestions further upthread, whilst nice, are anglicisations of the original names which is not what we want. E.g. Gabriel is a lovely name but the Arabic is Jibreel - I wouldn't want the anglicised version.

DS has a friend called Ramzan. Now they are teenagers it lends itself to the very cool nickname Rambo
