Baby boy isn't registered yet... Help!

DS2 needs a name! We like uncommon names that are both established but modern feeling too. At the moment Felix is the strongest contender but it's pretty popular so are there any others we should consider?

Others we are/have considered
Caspar
Hector (not so keen on Hec nn)
Ludo (Ds1 has a short name ending in o)
Wulfric (not mad on the ric bit)
August (DH not keen)
Wilbur (not keen on will as a nn)
Idris

Any suggestions appreciated. If you fancy, tell me what your top boy names are!

Edward or Theodore (nn Ted or Teddy)
Fergus (nn Gus)

Felix or Caspar are nice though I prefer the Kasper spelling. What about Ivo?

Idris and Hector are lovely.

I would also suggest Oscar and Cesar.

Gus is what DH doesn't like about August sadly - I love it!
I know numerous Wilfreds, Theodores/Teds and a Winston. Not sure about Benedict...

Great suggestion Hellocatshome... So much so I can't use it (again)!

I don't think Hector will be shortened to Hec.

From your list I like Felix and Caspar best. I like Wilbur and August too. I really like the names Ernest, Xavier and Victor although DH does not!

What do you think Hector would be shortened to? Or do you think it wouldn't be?

Mine is the same with Xavier... Such a shame!

I love all the o ending names, but am a bit worried that it would sound OTT alongside my o ending DS..

Augustus is great too! Sadly DH has the same reservation. Apparently he took a great dislike to someone called Gus once...

Hector is lovely and I don’t think it would be shortened. How about Hugo? Atticus, Digby, Sullivan, Otto?
