One syllable classic boys' names

It's for a middle name. Don't want to say what first and surnames will be, as both very unusual and potentially outing 😆 Sorry!
The name needs to be one syllable, and can't begin with R or an Eee-sound.
We would like a recognisable name that has been in use for many years. Things like Trent and Lance are a bit too niche for us.
And not a shortened name like Ben or Jim.
We're Scottish so could go for either Scottish/Gaelic names or more widely used classic/biblical etc.
Can you add to our list? ☺️

James
Neil (one syllable ish!)

Finn is Gaelic and a lovely short name.

I really love Hugh - classic and underused now (I'd be using it, but I'm not sure it works with my surname).

Otherwise I don't think you can go wrong with Charles, John or James - all timeless with nice nn choices if wanted (George is timeless too but I've personally never been fond of the sound of it).
