Hello i am down to two names for my baby girl. I know both are popular but i really like traditional, classic names and these are my two favourites. I'm trying to decide which one to choose and would love to hear your thoughts and help me to make a decision. Thank you x

Both are beautiful names ❤️. Which one sounds better with your surname?

Alice

Gorl · 13/09/2021 10:18

Both are really lovely but I particularly like Alice. Very classical and pretty, and less ubiquitous than Grace. It’s a really beautiful choice.

IntermittentParps · 13/09/2021 10:19

I love Grace.

Newbabynewhouse · 13/09/2021 10:20

I personally prefer Alice.. but it's your choice xx

WaitinginVain · 13/09/2021 10:55

Not a fan of either but Alice is much the prettier name.

Palavah · 13/09/2021 10:57

They are both very pretty. I feel like the same question has been asked on here every week for the past 6 weeks.

MN loves Alice.

Same. I’m sure there was another Grave or Alice thread about a month ago.

Just choose the one you / your partner prefer. They are both popular names, with nothing but personal taste to differentiate them.

LetsDoTheTango · 13/09/2021 11:13

They are both beautiful names, but Alice is my all time favourite. I'm currently pregnant with DC1 and if she is a girl, she will definitely be an Alice.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure your daughter will 'grow into' her name and you'll never think of her as anything else. Good luck, OP Smile

Alice because it’s slightly less popular then Grace, where it feels there are about eleventybillion girls called Grace or have it as a middle name.

Dipsydoodlenoodle · 13/09/2021 12:32

I had both on my list. I preferred Alice to Grace/Gracie...but both are lovely names

Mamacita191 · 13/09/2021 12:33

I like Grace or Gracie :)

NatKat2 · 13/09/2021 13:36

Alice.

(My DD has Alice as her second name and loves it.)

katielou987 · 13/09/2021 18:03

I love both but would choose Alice x

OrangeTortoise · 13/09/2021 18:04

Alice

Pinkspecs · 13/09/2021 18:04

Grace

TwinsandTrifle · 13/09/2021 18:24

Not a massive fan of either. But Grace was recently the bland middle name of every girl for years, ie everyone my age is called something Louise, or something Clare.

Canoo · 13/09/2021 18:26

I have an Alice and my niece is Grace. Both lovely names. My daughter loves the Alice in Wonderland connection.

orangetriangle · 13/09/2021 19:33

Grace is classic and timeless Also like Lily

MsTSwift · 13/09/2021 19:35

Very safe choices - equivalent to Claire and Rachel in the 70s. I know lots of both sadly two of the Graces are pretty awful which puts me off that one.

CharlieBoo · 13/09/2021 22:10

Both are gorgeous xx

Geamhradh · 14/09/2021 11:47

Alice by a country mile.
So many thousands of Graces.
