Nellie is not a nn of Eliza. Eliza is a dim of Elizabeth.

I don't personally like Penelope, but I love Nell so I would just go with that. (Not Nellie - Olsen and elephant).

If you want to call her Nellie, call her that or use it as short for Ellen, Eleanor or Helena.

Eliza or Elizabeth.

I like Penelope but it's become quite fashionable. I know a few Penny's under 5 now.

Elizabeth is a timeless classic really. There will always be a couple but never loads. Eliza is a less used nickname for Elizabeth so that's good.

I think the OP was saying that Penelope would be either Penny or Nelly?

Personally I prefer Eliza.

Thanks all, Eliza was my first choice (we are having boy/girl twins) and I do like them both.

Just to clarify- the Nellie would be a nickname of Penelope and not Eliza xx
