Girl name help!!

Hi all!

Would love a bit of help for girls names please! The only one that DH and I agree on is currently Gabriella but I really dislike the nickname Gabby so im not sure if we should go with this. The other names I've shortlisted are
Ella (Love this but too common?)
Elle (DH does not like!)
Layla (too common?)
Eva or Ava (can't use as family member has used but pronounced Ever)
Lucia (like but don't love)

We are Spanish so surname is Spanish surname and 3 syllables

Anyone have any other suggestions? We have a DS1 who has a Latin name

You could use Gabriella with NN Ella?

@m@Amz6219 yes that's what I'd plan but people tend to use all different NN don't they and my fear is someone will pick gabby!!!🤣

Ella is popular because it's such a great name!

Estella? It's similar sound to Gabriella

@Camandmitch not keen on estella, reminds me of the beer! God the responsibility to get the right name is super challenging!🤣

Do you? It gets such a mixed response on here! I think it's the gab sound for me! It sounds nice in Gabriella but not Gaby to me!

I'm thinking Eve as a middle name for Gabriella at the moment but it will prob change!

Lucia is beautiful Gabriella is lovely

Layla has bad connections for me

The others are all very well used at the moment so if that bothers you I would stay clear

Yes I like Layla but working with children I've know a lot of Layla's and get the whole bad connotations vibe!!

Does it sound tomo harsh or too grown up for a baby. Obv they won't be a baby forever but... you know what I mean!!

I know a Gabrielle who just goes by that. Never heard her be called Gabby, I imagine she just corrects people. She's 11/12 I think.

@neptunemars What about Penelope? I named my daughter that 10 years ago after Penelope Cruz 😂 she is a Penny now and always gets compliments on her name. Though I do think it has become popular.

@ElvisPresleyHadABaby that would be great if that happened, I just worry it won't or maybe she'll love gabby!🤣

@Champersandchocolate it's actually not that common I don't think but ironically, a friend has just called her baby that so that ones out too! I've not known any Penelope's until then!
