I keep going back and forth between the two, which do you prefer?

Thanks

Cleo

I don't understand the name serena and never have.
Is it short for serenade?

daisypond · 06/09/2021 20:34

Serena.
No, it’s not short for Serenade. It’s Roman.

Serena. Serena has a wonderful, tinkling quality to it.

Both were on my long list. They have a very different vibe. Cleo is very sweet for a little girl. I think Serena is more timeless - though of course, she may not be serene! Serena Williams is a good namesake. It's a beautiful name but strong - on balance, that's the one I'd go for.

Ooh, both. They’re lovely names together. Save one for your next child, if that’s an option!

DramaAlpaca · 07/09/2021 15:34

Love both, but if pushed would choose Cleo.

CarolineSAlondon · 07/09/2021 15:43

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Pretty even between the two Smile, could still be a boy as we are having a surprise Grin so might will see what we have on the day

Both lovely names. You may see her ( if you are having a girl) and just know what her name is.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 07/09/2021 15:50

Both lovely. The Serena I know is anything but serene though, and that’d put me off.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 07/09/2021 16:46

Serena if you want timeless, elegant classic. Cleo if you want slightly hipster, funky/cool. They are both nice names but very different styles to me - I think on the whole I'd prefer to be a Serena (don't feel trendy enough to pull off Cleo!).

TheRabbitStoleMyHat · 07/09/2021 19:54

I love Cleo!

Cleo 100%
