Which name do you like best, Alice or Felicity? Also, I’ve liked Alice for a long time but a close friend (she lives far away so we only see her once a year or so) who recently had a baby and called it Alicia…keep thinking would this be weird as so close to Alice? 🤔😂

I much prefer Felicity. Alice seems quite twee to me

Scutterbug · 05/09/2021 20:01

Love Alice, find Felicity twee.

Scutterbug · 05/09/2021 20:01

Haha cross posted!

Wowcherarestalkingme · 05/09/2021 20:02

Love Felicity

Mumtotwofurbabies · 05/09/2021 20:02

Haha no consensus then 😂. My Dad doesn’t like Felicity which I know shouldn’t sway me but kind of does annoyingly

Neither is to my taste but Felicity is the better of the two .

MrsGilly1 · 05/09/2021 20:04

I like both lol xx

Aquamarine1029 · 05/09/2021 20:04

I don't like either of them.

Yika · 05/09/2021 20:04

I think they are both nice, quite similar in style. I personally slightly prefer Alice but Felicity is a bit less popular. I don’t think Alice is too similar to Alicia, it would be perfectly fine (actually I think it would be fine to use the exact same name).

Mumtotwofurbabies · 05/09/2021 20:06

Thanks everyone , any other suggestions of that style of name? We already have a Lucy btw

Roonilwazlib1 · 05/09/2021 20:09

Alice for sure and its definitely not too close to Alicia. Fwiw I would pronounce Alicia as alesha so doesn't sound similar at all to me

Chunkymenrock · 05/09/2021 20:10

Felicity. Can't bear Alice.

SE13Mummy · 05/09/2021 20:16

Alice - because you've already got one DD with an 'ee' ending to her name.

Other names: Anna, Emma, Hannah, Harriet, Imogen, Rosa.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/09/2021 20:17

Both are a bit wet for me but, of the two, Alice. It goes with Lucy more than Felicity.

AdaColeman · 05/09/2021 20:20

Both are lovely names, I’d probably choose Felicity as it’s slightly less used than the ever popular Alice.

Other names that I think are similar in style include Gabriella, Caroline, Charlotte, Valentina, Miranda, Antonia, Virginia.

Lucy and Felicity is a bit “eeeee”.

On the other hand I know two sets of rein firms called Lucy and Alice. The two names work well together.

Mumtotwofurbabies · 05/09/2021 20:25

Ooo thanks, Alice seems very popular. Felicity was narrowly in the lead but I’m beginning to prefer Alice now…

@MrsGilly1 I really like Emily on that list but don’t think i goes well with my surname

Rein firms = twin girls!

lobsteroll · 05/09/2021 20:40

I like Felicity better but I think Alice and Lucy sound lovely together (not that it matters long term).

Both really nice timeless names.

I prefer Alice
