Girl names

I'm seriously struggling with girls names!
Anything I like, OH doesn't. There's a few he likes, but I'm not keen on. Neither of us have a "special" name, or a name we absoloutely love. Help!!!

Our sons name is George, and last name begins with K, so I don't want any "matching" names, so no G or K names preferably.

I like Belle as a middle name, but not a first name.

Our list of definite no's, as these are either recent family baby names, or both, or one of us just doesn't like at all:

We’re struggling for a girls name ourselves. I’ve found the ‘My baby names’ section of the Ovia app super helpful. It shows you a name and you can click ‘nah’ ‘like’ or ‘love’ to help you com up with names.

I like lily but my partner just isn't keen, I think because his closest friend is calling his baby lily, he thinks it would be awkward as they're due 2 months apart.

Ooh I quite like Emerson, I used to work with a girl who's son was called Emerson so I always thought it was a boys name but then I've seen it on a few girls names lists recently! Juliette is a no, OH ex is called Julia so I think I'd get a bit peed off with that name.
OH wanted iris as a middle name after his nana, but as my middle name is after my nana and I absoloutely hate it, I just don't think I could do it to my child 😕

@mamainthemaking it sure is! Hopefully we both find a name we love! I don't even know where Belle came from, I was just like yep, that's the middle name! Was so much easier with George. His name actually started off as a joke before I was even pregnant, and then it just kind of stuck. His middle name came from a film and I randomly mentioned the name to OH and he was like yep, love it. Then when I was 30+ weeks, we went away for a weekend and the very last street we went down, was named the 2 names we had picked, so we knew then that that was definitely his name!

Do you like Bella, rather than Belle? Many names just don't go with Belle, whereas Bella seems to sounds better. In saying that, 99% of the time, it 1st name and surname, not middle name also.

Are you into nature names, classic or any particular theme? George (to me) is classic. Do you want the same?

@itsssschristmasss Edie is the top contender at the minute I think, I really do like Bonnie though. I'm not a big fan of matchy matchy names but I think Bonnie Belle would be nice?? Mabel is also nice!!

I’ve just remembered Eddie’s sister, it’s Hettie, another lovely name.

I have a George and if we had a girl next our names were Emma, rose (Rosie) and Harper.

Recently I'm loving Eliza.

@elouera I don't, sadly! I don't know why, but to me, Belle was always going to be the middle name. Obviously open to other options though! Not fussed on the type of name really, we just don't want something "too out there" OR too plain, I'm not fussy at all, honest! I find a lot of names now too American, for example Rayleigh and shayleigh, shardonya...

Merryn and Rosie are lovely. I don't think I actually know a Rosie, considering it's a common name!
