Thoughts on our baby names please.

DH & I are expecting our long awaited 1st after 3 MC.
What are your thoughts on the below names please?

Girls:
Clara Florence
Rosa Elizabeth
Lorelei Grace

Boys (middle name after either one of our father’s: Michael or Raymond/Ray)

Noah
William
Alexander
Lucas
Rhys
Rowan

Our surname is similar to Valentine.

I like all your choices. My favourite from your girls list is Clara and my favourite from your boys list is Alexander and then Rowan.

Clara Florence was on our list (family name) so naturally I adore it!! For boys I like Alexander best with either Michael or Raymond. The only name I’m less keen on is Lucas but it’s ok, just not my preference.

I’m not 100% sold on Lucas either TBH but DH likes it!

All great names, you can't go wrong with any of them. For girls your list is short enough that you can perhaps wait until you meet her and decide. For your boys my personal preferences are for Rhys, Rowen or Alexander.

Love Clara Florence, not keen on Lorelei - reminds me of Gilmore Girls. Rosa Elizabeth is a bit boring.
Clara Florence goes well with your surname too.

None of your boys name go super well with the middle names. Two RRs (Rhys Raymond for example) is a big mouthful. Lucas Michael could be nice or Alexander Michael/Raymond. Also love Ray as a first name but understand if you don’t want to do that. Congratulations! 🥳

They’re all nice names. I like Rose Elizabeth the best. Of the boys names I especially like Alexander but if you wanted to honour both people I think Michael Raymond is nice. Michael is so underused now.

I like Rosa Elizabeth and Rhys Michael best.

Rosa is a fabulous name but it doesn't flow with Elizabeth. Rosa Florence is better IMO.

Alexander Michael. Alexander is a great name, love it.

Boys - either Alexander or Luke rather than Lucas.

I agree with a PP that Rosa Florence flows better.

If that not an option then Clara Elizabeth.

From the boys I prefer Noah, Alexander and Lucas although prefer Luca to Lucas X

I very rarely say this but I LOVE all the girls names! They're all beautiful. I'm sorry, not helpful. But I do think that Florence is a perfect middle with Rosa too.

As for the boy's names, they're also all nice but my favourite is Alexander, although if Lucas were Luke then that would be number one

All good names EXCEPT Lorelei, which is awful.

I also always think Rowan sounds like a girls name, but that is just me (love it though)

I'm struggling to choose a favourite boys name from your list as I like them all. I think it would depend on your surname, and which middle name you go for.

Rosa Elizabeth - I like both and the combination. Check firstname surname combo, Rosa Valentine might be a bit naff.
Lorelei Grace - OTT first name, boring middle name

Clara Florence - love this name. Also love Cleo and Lara ? Florence is a lovely choice.

Rosa Elizabeth - love Elizabeth but not as keen on Rosa as I know quite a few and there's lots of Ro-- names about which all merge into one a bit. Still nice though

Lorelei Grace - unusual - I like it

Rhys - ok
Rowan - my baby girls' name so I think of it as girl name but know it's unisex. One word of warning is that it continually gets mis-heard and muddled with RoMan, which is the fastest rising boy name so there's increasing numbers of baby Romans about. It also inevitably gets shortened to Row which I don't like. There's a lot of Ro names about that are popular and it does get confusing (Ronnie Rory Reuben Robyn Rowan Roman etc all are in the top 100 and rising fast). Still a nice name but I do regret picking but bet others don't. it's trendy and risen fast in popularity so I do think RoMan and RoWan will date in a way that Alexander or William won't. Depends what you want.

Boys names; Noah William and Alexander are my favourites with either middle names, although I'm drawn towards William Raymond because then he could be Billy Ray! Which is not everyone's taste but I think is cute!
