Hi everyone

32 weeks pregnant with my first little girl (already have DS aged 5)

Top of the name list is Willow

Any middle name suggestions?

My little boy is Rowan James. Smile

Yes, like you have done with your DS, give a more traditional (non-naturey?) name as the middle name, also one syllable seems to work, but then I don't know your surname.

I would go with something classic but not another nature name (although I think Rose and Skye sound nice with Willow!). I'd also avoid Grace and May as they are just so popular as middle names.

Willow Jane
Willow Anne
Willow Mary
Willow Joy
Willow Emma/Emily
Willow Ada/Ava/Eva

Not talking about the first name - I really like it OP but Mumsnet literally churns out the same cutesy name suggestions on here...Sienna, Rose, Ophelia, Sophia, Violet. Envy

I think it depends on your surname but an "earthy" strong name would be quite nice. Like Fern, Amber or Margot.

How is Violet cutesy where Amber isn't? Equally Rose and Fern are very similar.

Margot is probably the least cutesy name you can get with the pronunciation coming out as 'maggot' depending on the accent though so I'll give you that one.

@Name12341 because the others are flowers. And literally every name thread lists them!

Our cat is Willow
We call her willow pillow or wilomena harkness #not helpful.
It's a lovely name but I had boy children.

Lovely suggestions thank you! I do like Willow Eve / Eva as my great grandma was called Eva.

Also love Eden but not sure if it goes well, thoughts?

Xx

Willow Eve or Willow Eva are lovely

Givemethatknife · 31/08/2021 22:31

Willow Eve is lovely

Willow Eden is two very of the moment names - very faddy as a combo and will date. Obviously Eve and Eva are super popular, but they are also classic names with a long history.

DirtyDancing · 31/08/2021 22:40

Willow Eden is lovely, it won't 'date' once you've had a baby & announced the full name, the middle name gets drops and is hardly used outside the family anyway. They won't be going school/ work / where ever declaring: 'hi I'm first name middle name surname'.
