Baby due in 3 weeks - help!

Baby due in three weeks, and we are still struggling with our name shortlists! Any comments / favourites / other suggestions?

We have no idea if we're having a boy or a girl. Surname is McNeil, we are in Scotland, and I've put the 2020 Scottish ranking of each name in brackets, if that helps!

Girls:
Anna (41)
Mia (17)
Edie (220)

Tommy (27) / Thomas (17)

Benjamin (Ben) (65)

I like all your names and they all go with McNeil apart from Max which is a bit hard to say.

If I was choosing myself I would go with Eva and Harry.

What a lovely selection of names!

Anna, Mia & Hollie are super girl names.

Harry, Thomas, Max and Andrew are all great boy names!

If I had to choose one from each though it would have to be Hollie & Thomas!

As you like Edie, have you considered Edith?

@AdaColeman I just don't love Edith for some reason... but would consider other longer names which would give Edie as a nickname? I just can't think of any others, aside from Eden!

I love Anna, Holly and Edie from your girls list (DP has vetoed all three!). If you’re looking for an alternative to Edith with Edie as a nickname, you could try Meredith? Although a little similar to Edith so may not appeal either. This is another one that DP vetoed!

I like Benjamin best from your boys list.

My picks are :

I think Edie McNeil sounds great. Eva McNeil is also lovely but I like Eva less due to all the Eve/Evie/Eva's around.
For boys I think the M's in some of your choices make it clunky with your surname, Tommy McNeil particularly has bad flow imo. For that reason I think Harry or Andrew are the best.

Anna McNeil is fabulous - I’d go with that.

Eva and Mia massively overused, Mia and Holly are meh - I like Edith/Edie but I don’t think it goes especially well with your surname. Clara, Esther, Stella, Rosa, Oona, Zoe, might all be alternatives

I like Max best of your boy options
Thomas is nice too
Too many Harrys…

Anna McNeil would be my top choice, I think it has a lovely flow. Mia McNeil is the only one that doesn’t flow well to me but the others are all fine.

Andrew and Harry are my favourite on your boys list.

Anna. Fantastic name, you can't go wrong with that.

Max is best of your boys' names but not with your surname. Thomas is very nice. Robert would be great.
