Name thoughts

Hiya,

I have just come across the name Bodhi, it was for a boy. Thoughts and how would one pronounce it?

I immediately think of Patrick Swayze in Point Break at the same time as thinking it's awful, sorry.

I really dislike it but it’s Bo-Dee afaik.

I've heard of a few Brodie's recently but I like both.

Bo Dee … I know 3 between 0-5yrs. It’s cute and suits the little boys

No. It’s been around for several years. It’s from Buddhism, repurposed in a hippy sort of way. Isn’t it really cringey?

I think it’s quite imaginative if rather hippy. If you’re not into Buddhism it’s a bit random.

A man bun of a name is a genius description. I wouldn’t do it myself.

I’ve a 4 year old Bodhi. He’s got near waist length ringlets that are often found in a bun (not joking!)
I’ve only met one other who was also from a family of surfers.

It's not that weird, just be prepared for him to be nicknamed Bo

I like Brodie. Not as keen on Bodhi but I’d presume it pronounced the same without the R.

I really don't like it. (But @user1483473283's four year old surfer Bodhi with a bun does sound adorable, so perhaps I could change my mind).
