Artie

I know an Ira, but think having to spell it out sounds weird and actually I think if it as a girl’s name (I know it isn’t) as I know a few Ayra’s.

Tomatel · 24/08/2021 21:47

None of them

myreddressmydaughtersbear · 24/08/2021 21:50

@Tomatel Bet you enjoyed posting that just to be obtuse didn't you?

I know a female Ira, but she is Finnish.

Of your selection OP, I think I like Nico best with Milo, definitely not Ivo as it sounds a bit singsong when said together.

leavesthataregreen · 24/08/2021 21:52

Artie and Ivo. I really like Ivo. Not come across it before.

LynetteScavo · 24/08/2021 21:52

I like them all except August.

But most of them sound like they are short for a longer name, except Newton. And I think Newton would be shortened to Newt.
I like Nico a lot.

myreddressmydaughtersbear · 24/08/2021 21:53

@2tired2bewitty I really like Ivo too, but I agree it sounds a bit silly Milo and Ivo.

August. It's lovely.

Ughmaybenot · 24/08/2021 21:54

Nico. To put it mildly, I’m not too keen on the rest.

fitzbilly · 24/08/2021 21:54

August is my favourite and I think it goes with Milo

Giantwaterbottle · 24/08/2021 21:56

I like them all except Newton.

August nn Gus goes so well with Milo,
Milo and Gus 😍

Also like Nico a lot

Tomatel · 24/08/2021 21:58

Ughmaybwnot is spot on and if you don't like my answer, don't ask the question.

LittleDoritt · 24/08/2021 21:58

I like Nico and Ivo but not with Milo.

Gus is great, but am not keen on August.

TrampolineForMrKite · 24/08/2021 21:58

Nico. Goes best with Milo and just sounds nicest. None of the names are really in my naming style, but I can see any of the others being okay and in the same wheelhouse as Milo, with the exception of August and Newton, which I agree with PP would get shortened to Newt.

FreeBritnee · 24/08/2021 22:00

Artie

myreddressmydaughtersbear · 24/08/2021 22:01

@Tomatel how about if you don't like the question, don't bother answering?

Theres no need.

I like them all except ira (I read IRA), Ori (it just feels unfinished to me) and Newton. However, with Milo I would personally look for a name that doesn't end in an o (although I love Ivo and I like Nico too) so I would go for Artie or August, both of which are great!

Having said all that, they will mostly not have their names said together and will be independent adults for the bulk of their lives. So I would say pick one you love, if there is a stand out one to you.

namechange7865 · 24/08/2021 22:06

Only one I like is Nico but I like it a lot, Nico and Milo would sound cute albeit a little similar.

miaxxn · 24/08/2021 22:09

Artie is lovely and I agree on some of the comments Nico is lovely but with Milo it’s too similar xx

Twizbe · 24/08/2021 22:09

Ivo .... but my secondary school was named after St Ivo so it's got its negatives as well.

MrsBertBibby · 24/08/2021 22:14

Can't say I'm keen on any, but Nico is the best. But I don't think Nico and Milo sound great together.

MoChridhe · 24/08/2021 22:17

Nico

coffeepleeease · 24/08/2021 22:18
