Baby number 2 is due in the next month and can't decide on girls names already have a little boy and name for next baby if a boy is decided options for girls name are

Lois
April
Winnie (this was contender for dc1 but is now a bit matchy with ds...is that weird?)

Ds name is vintage/'old man' name not one of the more popular ones, this wasn't intended just loved the name

Lois definitely. Beautiful name.

Personally I would hate to be called Winnie!

Givemethatknife · 24/08/2021 13:37

Love Lois! Cannot understand why it isn’t more popular.

April nice enough but odd if not birth month

Winnie is sweet but yet another twee granny name, would at least give her some sort of full name

Sorry it's taken so long to respond, thank you for all the comments I think you are all right with Winnie, I don't like any of the full versions and 'Winnie the Pooh' references already had me nervous, I really don't want to choose a name she would hate growing up or worse be picked on for. For the Willa suggestion I love but DH not keen

I had reservations with and April being born in autumn but DH didn't see the problem.

Lois has been front runner for a while but just couldn't get April out of my mind : ) seems that although not to everyone's taste it's not complete dislike (like Winnie Grin)

Thank you for all the comments

Winnie I think of Winnie Mandela. April and I think of the cartoon character dressed in yellow with the Teenage Turtles thing popular in the early 90s. That leaves Lois :)

mummyh2016 · 24/08/2021 16:19

Love Lois, actually had it on our list but had to take it off as it doesn't go with our surname.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 24/08/2021 16:20

I love April!

wishing3 · 24/08/2021 16:21

Lois is lovely! I quite like April but I’m personally not a fan of Winnie.

Derrymum123 · 24/08/2021 16:21
  1. April
  2. Winnie
  3. Lois
Like them all tbh
Bufffy · 24/08/2021 16:27

Love April. Not one you hear so much anymore

TatianaBis · 24/08/2021 16:56

I really dislike all of them, sorry. Lois the most. It's very drab & dowdy.

GintyMcGinty · 24/08/2021 16:58

Lois

I don't like the other 2 and I think its weird to call a child April when they are born in September.

RuthW · 24/08/2021 18:14

April is lovely

Orangestarfish · 24/08/2021 18:44

I actually really love Lois. It does remind me of Lois Lane, but I think you'd soon get over that, and it's not a bad reference. It's pretty, simple and underused.

April - it's ok, prefer May.

Winnie - dislike, although I do love Winter, but it might be a bit 'out there'.

WildCherryBlossom · 24/08/2021 19:05

I love Lois. I like the sound of the name April but it always feels odd to me if the person isn't born in April. Winnie is ok. Reminds me of "the Pooh" and "the Witch". I prefer Wendy (which I actually really love!). I think it's traditionally a nickname for Gwendoline.

coronabeer · 24/08/2021 20:00

I like the sound of April best, but it probably seems a bit strange for an autumn baby (and in fairness, no-one seems to wonder what month May is born in. Or June). Don't much like Winnie, sorry.

So Lois.

Other possibilities: Amy, Lucy, Autumn

Lane?.......Wink
GalaxyGirl24 · 24/08/2021 20:18

Love April.

Winnie and Lois are not ones I like.
