I'm not overly keen on either name, but neither are awful.

I prefer Ruby as a name compared to Willow, just seems to be a stronger name to me. Ruby was super popular about 10-15 years ago but seems less so recently so that would probably sway me. Willow is more of the moment. Good luck.

I know two people called Ruby, one is 21 and the other would be 9 or 10.

I prefer Ruby to Willow.

I prefer Willow, as I think only people with red hair should be called Ruby, but that's just my opionion.

I only know one Ruby (elderly) and one Willow (teenage).
Both lovely people.

I associate Ruby with the maid in Upstairs Downstairs from the 1970s (yes, I'm old), so Willow seems younger.

The names seem quite different, so why not wait until you meet her before deciding?

Willow is beautiful. Love the symbolism - a tree which bends but never breaks. Ruby is ok, but reminds of Ruby Wax and I just don't think it sounds as sophisticated. I know a 28 year old Willow.
