What are your thoughts on Oscar? Hawes is the surname do you think they both go well together?

OP posts:

Sounds like someone extremely posh saying Ask a horse.

Hawes is unfortunate. I’d stay away from Roger.

I somehow feel Hawes needs a longer and more solid sounding name to balance it out - as it’s one elongated syllable and full of vowel sounds. I think it’s a good idea to stay away from sounds that will merge into the H (-ah -a -ar -er) or anything with -es or -s for a lifetime of Shaw.

Initials are tough there too - P Hawes not great, for example.

Sebastian? Gabriel? Joseph, Winston, Samuel, Jacob?

I think it works really well. I know a child with almost identical name (surname one letter different) and it suits him

What is with all these threads lately? OP was asking about a different name combo / surname the other day. Hmm
