What do you think of Clive?
Is it old fashioned?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FreeSpirits · 12/08/2021 16:22

I love it

ofwarren · 12/08/2021 16:24

It is old fashioned but I'm not sure what I think of it...
I think I possibly like it 🤷

Amz6219 · 12/08/2021 16:28

I don't like it...

But I know a couple of Vincent's born recently and thought eugh no initially (to myself of course), but it has grown on me! Clive may be a grower!

DancingQueen85 · 12/08/2021 16:30

Awful

takingmytimeonmyride · 12/08/2021 16:32

I knew a cute little Clive when I was a child so it makes me think of him. He moved away when he was about 8 so I still think of Clive as cute boys name.

Now I think about it I actually quite like it.

Cbeebiesrehab · 12/08/2021 16:52

I feel like it’s in the Barry and Terry category for me…not quite ‘cool’ yet. Give it a couple of years and it’ll be bang on trend.

SwedishEdith · 12/08/2021 16:54

Horrible. Like slime. It's a Nigel name for me - ghastly.

Komandoo · 12/08/2021 16:56

I know an adult Clive and he really really hates his name.

user159 · 12/08/2021 16:58

I know a puppy called Clive and it's really cute on him - not so sure for a baby

Stanlie · 12/08/2021 17:08

Fantastic

PricklesTheHedgehog · 12/08/2021 17:14

I like it a lot

Chihuahuacat · 12/08/2021 17:16

I hate it - it’s reminds me of the cringe greasy guy in Bridget Jones 2 on the plane.

(I know it’s a niche reference but it really epitomises how I think of a Clive)

user1493494961 · 12/08/2021 17:20

I know someone with a cat called Clive, better on a cat than a human.

Violetlavenders · 12/08/2021 17:24

I like it. Strong name.

It sounds refreshing after all the cutesy Alfie, Albie, Archie, Teddie type names.

sunglassesonthetable · 12/08/2021 17:25

Not keen no. ( though I would like it on a cat as above ).

Associate it with Keith, Kevin, Nigel, Terry...

Can't believe that one day those names will be back. It's inevitable I suppose.

Violetlavenders · 12/08/2021 17:25

Clive, better on a cat

Clive does not suit a cat imo GrinHmm

GoodnightGrandma · 12/08/2021 17:25

No.
I like Vinnie, but not Vincent.

AvantGardening · 12/08/2021 17:26

I like it. I also like Clyde if that’s better for you.

DH has vetoed both.

Moonlaserbearwolf · 12/08/2021 17:28

God no! I know a few Clives and none of them like their name.

FawnDrench · 12/08/2021 17:37

Clive is a brilliant name.

FreeSpirits · 12/08/2021 17:39

Seems like a bit of a marmite name lol
But I really like it

IVflytrap · 12/08/2021 17:42

Love it!

flipflopslap · 12/08/2021 17:43

You can't have a baby Clive!

It'll be like bringing a middle aged man into the world.

kaleidoscopeheartless · 12/08/2021 17:44

NO NO NO NO NO NO!

FreeSpirits · 12/08/2021 17:52
