Sibling for India and Rafferty

Looking for inspiration for a name which goes well with India and Rafferty? Don’t know what we are having. Quite like Bodhi for a boy but nothing really shouting out to us in the way of girls names. Georgia maybe possibly?!

Jesus. We have complete opposite taste

I like Asher or Astrid for a girl
Ruben goes well with Rafferty and India

Some really obnoxious posters on here, clearly get their kicks from voicing unwanted opinions with the intention of upsetting strangers.

Anyway, I really like your children’s names OP. How about:

Boys:
Judah
Beauden
Sonny
Jasper

Girls:
Noa
Saffron/Saffy
Willa

Sylvie
Ottillie
Calista
Arrabella

Rupert
Max
Zackary
Xavier

@Puffalicious

This is funny because I know 2 very working class families in my area of the Midlands (the sticks) with babies called Bodhi. Bizarrely one male and one female!

I'm very surprised by this. Never heard of it in life and I'm in a cosmopolitan city (not London). How strange.

They are quite common names now. Especially because they are the name of celebrity children. Jude Law's son is Rafferty and Megan Fox's son is Bodhi.
Lcachu · 12/08/2021 09:41

Athena is a also a very celebrity used name. Tyson Fury the gypsy King and Heidi Range both just called their daughters this this week. I'd imagine it will probably be a top 10 name within the next couple of years.

Might be ‘strange’, but it’s true. I also know of one (baby) in Plymouth. Maybe just not hit your cosmopolitan city yet? 🤷🏻‍♀️
DaisyWaldron · 12/08/2021 09:52

I know more children called Athena than I do Anna, Claire, Lucy, Jessica or Poppy.

Ummm ... this is an Internet forum - if people don't want opinions why post in the first place? 🙄

Not really, there are some laughably bad 'trying too hard to be different' names being suggested here and I pity some of the kids who have to carry said names. Seriously, are some of you forcing your pet dog to eat a bag of Scrabble tiles and forming names based on what comes out the other end?

Cbeebiesrehab · 12/08/2021 10:49

There is giving opinions and then there is going out of your way to be ‘oh so funny’ and slate existing children’s names. OP asked for suggestions based on her existing children’s names and people have decided it’s their place to slate them, don’t understand what that achieves other than potentially upsetting a pregnant woman. What’s the point? It’s just a dick move.

Amdone123 · 12/08/2021 10:52

@Cbeebiesrehab, well said, so true.

DaisyWaldron · 12/08/2021 10:56

I can't think of any names which have been serious suggestions on this thread which aren't relatively well-known names. Not top ten (although some are certainly very popular) but none particularly strange and certainly not random collections of letters.

LittleMysSister · 12/08/2021 10:56

@3babessoon

So rude! Tabitha doesn’t strike me as a very catty name.
I think lots of people associate Tabitha with cats because of Tabby? Also there is a cat called Tabitha in the Beatrix Potter books.

I don't think it's too strong an association to use though, Tabitha is a lovely name, but it is there.

Yes I agree. It's awful that people are coming here and being rude about OP's existing children's names.

Everyone has different taste in names, there is no objective good and bad. So nasty to make hurtful comments about names already given. Or tbh, spiteful comments about any names at all are unnecessary as you never know who is reading.

Gerry? :)

SaltySheepdog · 12/08/2021 11:10

Sunny

Sydney for a girl

CelestialGalaxy · 12/08/2021 11:20

These threads are all the same with people picking names that suggest their kids are either going to be upper echelon or scroungers, there is nothing wrong with Sarah, Lucy etc as a previous poster implied.

My ultimate test for a name is 'would I feel like a dick shouting the name across a field/park' and would people think it was more appropriate name for a dog. If the answer is no to this then it works.

Loooool me too. As much as I love some names in the abstract, would I really feel OK shouting them out across a playground? Some names just don't feel right to you but are totally fine for others.

I absolutely love the name Ophelia but I know I wouldn't have the confidence to call my child it.

Good suggestion for you though OP!!! Ophelia :)

SaltySheepdog · 12/08/2021 11:41

Actually Kit goes well with India and Rafferty

Germolenequeen · 12/08/2021 11:51

@CelestialGalaxy

Hahaha yes exactly 😅

Zandathepanda · 12/08/2021 12:40

The problem is dog names are increasingly human. Round here we have: Rufus, Oscar, Alfie, Barney, Skye, Maisie, Lola, Dave, Jess, Chaz and Betsey.

Germolenequeen · 12/08/2021 13:39

Tbf dog names were traditionally human if the pedigrees of my Border Collies are anything to go by & I definitely prefer a good solid human name myself 😬

Zandathepanda · 12/08/2021 14:36

Loooovvvvveeee border collies but the ones I knew were Laddie, Gyp, Spark and Nip (and yes he did).

3babessoon · 12/08/2021 14:43

What’s pretentious about them? How rude!
