What else might we like?

I ask because it's the only name we've really agreed on BUT it is incredibly popular

Thank you!

@Comedycook Thank you Grin

Luna is lovely but we have one already in the extended family

DH likes Sienna! I think it's lovely but again very popular. I know 3 Shock

Not keen on names beginning with N, not sure why. Also not keen on names beginning with E or B

I would say Chelsea was boring. I’ve not heard that in years. I also don’t think Mia is that popular. I don’t hear them called every where I go.

Mia is a nickname for Maria originally, I think, so why not a kind of compromise e.g. Maria Charlotte, known as Mia? I have to say that I think Alice Maria has a lovely flow too!

I have a Mia. DH suggested it and I loved it but was also reluctant because it's so popular. I prefer less popular but not 'out there' names.
But still, we went for Mia and I still love it. I looked at all the alternatives on this thread and didn't like any. If you like it, use it. It will become who your little girl is, rather than just a name lots of people have.

Chachachawoo · 11/08/2021 16:21

Lia
Thea
Ella

Personally not bothered if names are popular.
Mia is elegant, simple and easy to use in many languages.

EmbarrassingMama · 11/08/2021 16:29

Nina is a cracking name.

Is Mia pronounced ‘My-a’ or ‘Me-a’?

Pennylane87 · 11/08/2021 16:43

I have a 15 year old Mia ! It wasn't at all popular when I named her, but it's never bothered her that it's gained in popularity since. I've only ever met one other Mia which is surprising given its in the top 10 !
I say if you like a name then go for it,, ( you don't want to get name regret!) A sign of popularity means that it's well liked X

PermanentTemporary · 11/08/2021 16:44

I think Mia is lovely. I don't know any others.

Lia I like too - another spelling of Leah.

I really like Mia though and would stick with that, it's numbers have been falling if you look at official statistics
I actually don't know any
