Azalea has always been my favourite name - thoughts? do the rapping associations matter?

Azealia Banks was my first thought but I don't think that matters too much.

Never heard it as a name before but I like it.

I immediately think Iggy or Banks. Neither are great namesakes but I also don't foresee them remaining popular (they're not really popular now tbf).

It make me think of Azaylia Cain, which means it has such sad connotations, but I can't see that being a problem for most people and certainly not as she grows up.

I think it has a really nice sound to it.

I love that name, pro golfer Sergio Garcia daughter is named Azalea, first time I heard it I thought how lovely.

Zalie is pretty as a nn.

I have a colleague with an Azalea and a Zinnia. Lovely names.

No, I think most peoples first thought will be the flower, then the rappers. I personally prefer similar Zinnia but Azalea nn Zalie is quite pretty.

Azalea is a fairly common model of wheelchair so it would remind me of that. It's quite pretty though.

I think its quiet nice as a name. A possible nickname would be Iz/Izzy which is nice. Lots of nickname possibilities.

It's lovely, I think of the flower rather than the rappers.
Though as pp mentioned there was Ashley Cain's daughter named this (but spelled differently) who sadly passed away quite recently 💔
