They're all nice. They're all quite popular which would put me off.

I like Grace best.

DramaAlpaca · 29/07/2021 23:50

Love Florence.
Prefer Emilia to Emelia, but it'll get confused with Amelia.
Don't like the 'gr' sound in Grace.

Beatrice is a good call if you like the sss sounds in Florence and Grace, but want something more unusual.

HaNNaHC92 · 30/07/2021 00:10

My 2yr old daughter is called Grace so that's the one for me. My 2nd choice is Emelia

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 30/07/2021 01:57

Your choices are all lovely but quite popular at the moment. If you like Emilia you might also want to consider Julia or Celia/Cecilia instead.

And perhaps classic Rose or Eve instead of Grace? Or even Iris which is retro popular but not quite as much as your choices.

Florence is also quite retro/vintage popular as much as classic, so the same style to me would be names like Emmeline, Cora or Josephine.

Florence - 7/10
Grace - 8/10
Emelia - 6/10 prefer Amelia

Grace is hard to pull off if you are clumsy!!

Chilldonaldchill · 30/07/2021 08:59

Florence - lovely. Popular but lovely.
Grace - apologies to parents of Graces but I find this a bit meh.
Emelia - not this spelling which is neither one nor the other. Emilia is lovely; Amelia is nice enough.
I would go for Emilia (but that spelling only) or Florence from your list but how about:
Constance
Cecily
Beatrice
Felicity
Esther
Harriet
Tess/Tessa

emmathedilemma · 30/07/2021 15:27

Florence is lovely and I'm sure it's less popular than the other two. Flo / Florrie are cute nn.

BridgetGetTheGin · 30/07/2021 19:29

I'm really leaning to Florence... but I have a son called Freddie. Is that weird?! Florence and Freddie?

BridgetGetTheGin · 30/07/2021 19:30

I really LOVE Grace too!

Emilia. My fab great niece is called Emilia, so I'm biased.

pilates · 30/07/2021 19:44

Grace
Emelia

Florence

bubblebath62636 · 30/07/2021 20:11

DD2 is Grace so I'm obviously biased but it's a lovely name 😊.

How about:

Fern
Wren
Eden
Brooke
Robyn
Felicity

DoingItMyself · 30/07/2021 20:19

OP, your initial suggestions are great. Any of those would be fine.

pantherrose · 30/07/2021 20:21

I love Florence and Floss or Flossie is cute. If your DS Is Freddie, erm... It rings a bell - Though I’ve been out of the UK for a while, wasn’t Florence and Fred a clothing range in Tesco?

Noshowwithoutpunch · 30/07/2021 20:23

LOVE Grace.

Noshowwithoutpunch · 30/07/2021 20:24

Probably just me but when I think of Florence I always wonder if the parents/person has actually been there.
I also think of The Magic RoundaboutGrin

Katefoster · 30/07/2021 20:34

I love Florence and love the nickname Florri. I know someone whose just used Florri as a full name and I just love it.
