Have picked out our baby boy name finally. I am due anytime now. Today someone mentioned that kids his age will make fun of his initials. Initials are L.O.Y. I am not sure what I am missing, is there anything wrong with them?

Not sure what can be wrong with L.O.Y? Its not an acronym for anything obviously rude (and therefore funny to kids) that I know of.

I don't know what that means. But I'm probably too old. You need to ask a 14 year old, maybe they know what LOY means.

I've no idea what those initials might mean.

There's a few entries in urban dictionary but according to my teens there's thousands of things in there that no one actually uses or would know what they mean. This is apparently one of them.
We use initials all the time in my work but I don't think that's common - and this does not look like a problematic set of initials...

Yes, I went back and asked. She said “L.O.Y. sounds funny and kids are very mean so they will tease him about it”. She says they will call him LOY 😒

I personally don’t mind the initials though and I am in love with his name. ❤️ I just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything.

You definitely not missing anything - I can't see why anyone will make fun of this initials at all.

Oh ignore them. Making fun of initials is just not a thing. Especially when they don't even spell/mean anything.

She sounds crazy, immature or mean or even all three. Wouldn't waste another minute thinking about that sort.

Even if they call him Loy, so what. It may be an affectionate nickname, not a slur.

My initials spell L.E.M I have never been called anything ... Like lemon 🍋.....
Only Lucy locket , Lucy loo , loopy loo and such like 🙄😊
