We’re having a baby girl and I really like the name Elisa and have never heard of it before

Pronounced E-li-sa

What do people think of it? Would people think it was linked to Lisa?

I really like it. I prefer Eliza though, but that is one of my favourite names.

I’ve known a couple of Elisas over the years and they’ve all been pronounced like Lisa with a short ‘e’ in front - so eleesa, more or less, whereas I think you’d prefer a short ‘i’?

I would pronounce it Eleesa.
