Thoughts on....

We have Giovanna as our front runner at the moment for our first baby due in august. Just wanted to gauge people's thoughts/reactions on the name!
Her grandfather is Italian, and we have an Italian surname.
I personally don't know any Giovanna's, is it popular where you are?

Don’t know if any baby Giovanna’s but go with it

I went to college with a guy with the male version , which I won't attempt to spell and he told everyone his name was John as he hated it so much .

I think it’s really pretty, and ideal if you have Italian heritage.

I don’t know any, but Giovanni Fletcher was on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ (the Welsh one), so people may be a little more familiar with it.

Sounds beautiful to me, no idea how the name is perceived in Italy though. You should go for it, good luck.

I think it’s lovely, although you need Italian heritage to pull it off I think (which you have!)

It's a very pretty name or Gianna as previously suggested is also nice.

I like it, does make me think of Giovanna Fletcher but that isn’t a bad thing. Will probably be shortened to Gee.
