I've never heard of the make up shop but it does sound like a cleaning product!

Make up shop. The chain closed in the UK but it's still around in US, I believe. Possibly other parts of Europe too.

Sapphira is also a pretty name, though the biblical character wasn't great.

Nope. Firstly, the makeup store. Secondly, the only Sephoras I've met were fron Jehova Witnesses or similar cult communities

Makeup shop for me (I don't think the name is popular enough , unlike say Zara to easily overcome retail associations). If it's the the nn Sephie/Effie you like, it could be short for Josephine, Stephanie, Seraphina or even Persephone is you're brave.
