Boys Name Help Please? (List)

32 weeks pregnant and really struggling with boys names!

Generally I like not made up, recognisable but uncommon names... though in pregnancy it seems my head is all over the place, and I'm not sure my list really reflects the names I liked pre-hormones!!

We are in Scotland and both Scottish heritage, though seem to be drawn to different heritage names 🤷🏻‍♀️ Surname is McNeil.

Any votes / opinions / other suggestions welcome! So far our shortlist (if you could call it that, it's basically names we both haven't veto'd!!) are:

Macsen (It's not made up honestly, it's Welsh apparently, though neither of us are. I like that it's got cute nickname options too - 'Mac' or 'Macs')

Kaspar (Not sure if friendly ghost bothers me)

Louis (A bit royal?)

Murray (Mint?)

Harvey (too Katie Price?)

Are any of these winners, or any other suggestions we might like?!

I really like Louis and Caspar (I'd spell it with a C personally as you're not German)

I also like Hector, Hamish, Sholto and Ossian.

@TatianaBis I did think about that, but figured also I'm not Persian? 😂 and Casper with a C is Persian apparently? So I figured either was ok!

I like Hector but can be used apparently as a name for any guy here - a few elderly relatives call various handymen or brothers / cousins Hector!!

Caspar with a C is how the name is spelt in English. In Persian it would be کاسپار. 😂

I’m not a fan of first names and surnames starting with the same letter so that puts me off Macsen. What about Fraser?

Kids these days don't watch Casper anymore. My ds is 7 and has never had a reference to it. Your ds would be even further removed from it :)

Louis is the best by miles. Macsen?? That's a new one. Awful.

@Viviennemary 😂 It features in Arthurian legend and was the name of a Roman emperor, so definitely not new! But it is definitely a marmite one.

Macsen is an old welsh name @Viviennemary. Not awful at all.

I wouldn't use it without any welsh connection because of this sort of ignorance.
