Kirsten Oh I agree. Which is why you don't get many male Shirley, Lindsay or Hilarys these days. If you wouldn't give it to both sexes, it doesn't really 'count' as unisex though.

There are quite a lot of “foreign” names that people in the UK won’t automatically gender. Ximin, Xaou, Parvinder etc

I think Lindsay might be more used for boys now.

I also met a female James the other day which i thought was rather cool.
