Hannah/Hanna or Livia as first name - help I'm stuck!

DP and I have narrowed our names down to Livia, nickname Liv, or Hannah, possibly spelt Hanna which would be the spelling in my native country. I really can't make my mind up, I think both names are lovely in their own way. Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated!

I read that Livia might be mistaken for Olivia, but is that a problem? Would the spelling 'Hanna' seem strange, being in the UK?

For middle names we're considering Rose or Orla Rose.

Also not dim and had not heard of Livia. I think most people will mishear it in person which will be really annoying.
I’d go just Liv. I presume you don’t like Libby? That would be a close alternative.

Hannah is nice but pretty popular. Either spelling is fine.

It's not about you, Tatiana. And you are also very rude. Everywhere you go.

I like Livia. If you choose Hannah, I'd definitely keep the H on the end.Smile

WimpoleHat · 21/08/2021 11:11

Hannah. Otherwise she will spend her life saying either “without the h. No, the h on the end” or “no, without the O at the front”.

I love Livia it was on my list for my daughter but didn't get used. Personally I think its a bit 'fresher' than Hannah.

Lydia instead of Livia? Livia seems incomplete, will get lots assuming it's a typo.

Livvielo · 21/08/2021 22:36

So strange I’ve just seen this post. I’m Livia and my daughter is Hannah. Grin
I love my name but I get Lydia or Olivia constantly, especially on the phone!! It never translates well, and it is tiresome having to repeat it and spell it all the time!
Hannah- with the H definitely, or she will spend her lifetime saying ‘Hanna without an H’

@NordicNoirRocks

Is seems Hannah/Hanna is the winner, and I’m chuffed that so many like Hannah Orla Rose, as that’s my preferred name combo, but not DP’s! Grin
My daughter is Hannah Rosalie. I love her name and so does she. My name is Livia Faye.

Livia Orla Rose is nice.
Hanna(h) Orla Rose (HOR) is awful, just because of the initials. Shock

I prefer Liv to Livia. I know a 8 year old called Daisy Liv which works well. Hanna instead of Hannah is fine in the UK.

peaceinourtime · 23/08/2021 17:17

The name Livia always reminds me of tinea, don't know why.

Hanna
