We have decided we won't be finding out baby's sex. I have DS Ethan-Geoffrey DD Eloise-Elizabeth (both middle names after my parents).

DC is nameless..

We picked Benjamin David
(But I just don't love it, David is for DH's Dad)

And are thinking of Olivia Isobella
(But again I'm so unsure)

Opinions on names and any suggestions

I really like Benjamin David. Olivia Isobella doesn't seem to flow that well but individually both names are pretty.

Other ideas:
Benedict David
Elliott David
Nicholas David
Patrick David
Alexander David

Olivia Elise
Olivia Marie
Alice Isobella
Abigail Isobella
Evelyn Jane
Georgina Olivia

TatianaBis · 14/07/2021 22:24

Olivia Isobel sounds much better.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 14/07/2021 22:57

Unless there is a family reason, I'd spell it Isabella (although I also agree that Isobel or Isabel flow better with Olivia).

Your choices are nice though and work with your current DC's names imo (although I prefer Benedict over Benjamin, that's just personal taste).Other suggestions in the same style as Benjamin and Olivia:

Michael
Daniel
Gabriel
Joseph
Jacob
Isaac
Matthew
Thomas

Thank you everyone for the name suggestions. I agree Olivia Isobella doesn't flow easy. I'm just so fussy. I don't want a common name but he does🙈

OP posts:
Enko · 15/07/2021 10:56

I think Olivia will feel like she got the short straw with her sister having a more unusual pretty name and she got stuck with the harsh Olivia/livy/liv

overtherainbo · 15/07/2021 11:13

@Enko I couldn't agree more. DS and DD are from a previous marriage, eDH chose sons (which I still don't love) and I chose DD.

DH now only likes common names and we can't settle on anything but I would hate to have another child with a name I'm not totally in love with. I was sort of hoping MN would help haha

There are lots of other very pretty, common names if you don't like Olivia.

How about:
Charlotte, Isla, Ava, Eva, Jessica, Aria, Darcey, Grace, Isabelle, Lily, Matilda, Ruby, Sophia, Sophie

TatianaBis · 15/07/2021 16:00

I prefer Olivia to Eloise, despite its popularity.

overtherainbo · 15/07/2021 16:14

I love Darcey and that was our top choice Darcey-Ann but DH bought a darcia car and thinks it's weird now😓!

Also loved Eliana but he said no more E names😅

OP posts:
blameitonthecaffeine · 15/07/2021 18:26

Hmmm ... Daisy? Dulcie? Liliana? Ariana?

overtherainbo · 15/07/2021 18:33

I really really like liliana 😍

OP posts:
SionnachRua · 15/07/2021 19:10

If you like Darcie and Liliana, do you like Diana? Combines elements of those two.

Or other -iana names so Adriana, Iliana, Georgiana, Briana, Liana, Mariana, Luciana...

I think Olive Isobella might work better than Olivia. Not a fan of Olive myself really but Olivia is such a magnolia name.

RoseMartha · 15/07/2021 19:43

Liliana is a compromise on Eliana

Or
Matthew David
Oliver David

Or
Lydia Isabelle
Lucy Isabelle

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 15/07/2021 20:49

If no more "E" names, but you like Eliana and he likes Olivia - how about pretty Lilia? Maybe similar enough to many popular names for DH, but there were only 95 born in the UK last year.

35andThriving · 15/07/2021 21:04

Hope you find something you love. Smile

Thank you to everyone that commented. We have finally agreed on annalise.
Still questioning Benjamin only because I don't like Ben and know people will shorten it🙈

OP posts:
Theoldwoman · 19/07/2021 12:22

Definitely not another E name, you already have 3 out of four.

Olivia is too similar to Eloise.

Benjamin is my favourite boys name, so yes to that!

Girls suggestions:

Ethan, Eloise and Laura
Ethan, Eloise and Kate
Ethan, Eloise and Zara

Terrazzo · 19/07/2021 13:04

Annelise is lovely. What middle name are you going for?

I’m surprised you said you wanted uncommon names as Ethan, Eloise, Benjamin and Olivia are all very well used.

overtherainbo · 19/07/2021 13:28

@Terrazzo Eloise is really uncommon in my town. I hadn't heard it before and still don't know of any haha. My family thought I made it up🙈

Ethan on the other hand wasn't my choice, I still don't like it personally so don't want to feel that way again.

Benjamin ahain isn't my choice, neither was Olivia.

But I did love Eliana, Liliana, Darcianna. Any Anna names by the looks of things😅.

We haven't chose a middle name and still don't have a boys name 🥲

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 19/07/2021 14:13

If you don’t like Ben I’d definitely rethink Benjamin. You may not want to shorten it but he might

SionnachRua · 20/07/2021 00:44

Yes, definitely don't use Benjamin if you don't like Ben.

ILoveShula · 20/07/2021 12:12

Olivia is overused, but quite nice.

Isobella looks wrong.

Olivia Isobella will be said as
Olivia Risobelle

What's a darcia car? Did you mean Dacia?

notasillysausage · 20/07/2021 12:16

I wouldn’t say Eloise is well used, it’s not even in the top 100 baby names Hmm
