We’re expecting DC2 in October, we already have a little boy called Travis. We have decided if it’s a girl she will be called Nancy. For a boy we both really love Ivan, just wondering others opinions on it?.

I like Ivan. Not sure it bothers you but two of David Cameron's children are Ivan and Nancy so maybe something to bear in mind.

@toastofthetown I’m not too bothered as we don’t have a DD yet, just DS. So depending on what this baby is we’ll either have a Travis and Nancy or Travis and Ivan.

Check how it goes with your surname. Might sound odd with an N surname or a vowel surname. Ivan Neal sounds like I've an eel.

We aren't bothered about names ‘going’. As they’re individuals. We just wanted to choose names we both like

I think all three are good, strong names that are not common but not way out either, and they go well together.

Sibling names often don't match though unless really strongly themed? (E.g. Irish origins & spellings).

It's not my style but it does sound good with Travis.

I know an Ivan who loves his name and he's never met another child Ivan. It's a good strong memorable name.

It was Ivor Biggun not Ivan. I liked both Ivor and Ivan but we have an n surname and DH couldn’t cope with Ivor, due to Biggun.
