Kitty
Ottilie
Juniper
Cece
Kaia
Aria
Nova

She will be little sister to Howie (Howard on birth certificate). I put them in order of my favourites but it changes everyday

Kitty - I like it but would put Catriona or Catherine on the BC as you have with your son.
Ottilie - I’m not a German speaker but apparently we pronounce this name totally wrong in the UK. Prefer Matilda.
Juniper - Love this, my favourite on your list. Junie is a cute nickname.
Cece - Like this but again it would make a better nickname.
Kaia - the Kardashian’s have ruined K names for me a bit. I think Caia is the correct spelling anyway which is nice.
Aria - seems a bit overused recently, not bad though.
Nova - dislike this as I just associate it with a rubbish car.

Estherlee · 07/07/2021 14:25

Kitty - love but it's a little twee
Ottilie - really don't like the sound
Juniper - prefer June
Cece - too nicknamey on its own, how about Cecilia?
Kaia - OK, goes well with Howie I think!
Aria - lovely but always reminds me of 'Aryan' Sad
Nova - cool sounding name, but starts with 'No'

Fivemoreminutes1 · 07/07/2021 14:43

Ottilie is too frilly.
Aria is overused
Kitty is nice as a nickname for a young child. If Howie is a nickname, it makes sense for Kitty and Cece to be nicknames too.
Kaia is hard to spell correctly if you just hear it, and hard to pronounce correctly if you see it written down.
Nova is alright.

BunnyRuddington · 07/07/2021 14:46

I think of the car with Nova as well, usually boy racer.

Think from your list I prefer Juniper, very unusual and very nice.

DoucheCanoe · 07/07/2021 14:49

Kaia is alright.

I don't like any of the others.

NewallKnowall · 07/07/2021 14:53

I like Kitty and Juniper

Squeakysqueal · 07/07/2021 15:28

I do agree with Kitty being more of a nickname but I’m not very keen on Katherine ect. And I do love the name Kitty

Juniper is far and away my favourite. Juno or June as a nn.

Brakebackcyclebot · 07/07/2021 15:31

I love Kitty, and woukd just go with it as a given name.

The rest... Aria is OK but I'm not keen on any of the others

Kanaloa · 07/07/2021 15:36

Kitty - I don’t think of it as being a very versatile name, a bit little girly. Nice as a nickname.
Ottilie - fine, I don’t particularly like it
Juniper - quite nice, I like June/Juno too
Cece - nickname for Celia/Cecily
Kaia - nice
Aria - Nice as well
Nova - I don’t know why but I don’t like this. It doesn’t feel like a persons name, more like the name of a trendy restaurant or a shop

Burgess67A · 07/07/2021 15:40

Aria is the best one

Lotsachocolateplease · 07/07/2021 17:23

I agree that kitty is a nn, how about Caitlin nn kitty if you don’t like Katherine.
I’m not keen on your other choices.
How about Caroline nn Callie/Carrie
Julia nn jules
Penelope nn penny

Strawberryshitfest · 07/07/2021 17:29

The only one I like is Nova. Juniper is pretty but I think I’d be a bit embarrassed to introduce myself as juniper since it’s a bit out there/almost hippy-would probably get attention which she may not like. June is nice though. Kitty would be nice if Katherine or a full name was on the birth certificate

KurtWilde · 07/07/2021 17:43

Nova is lovely, so is Kitty, not a fan of the rest.

TatianaBis · 07/07/2021 17:59

Juniper is a horse’s name I don’t get why it’s popular on MN.

I don’t really like any of them. What about Cecilia nn Cece?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 07/07/2021 18:25

They are all a very different style to more traditional Howard imo and aren't really my taste.

I do think Kitty and Cece are nice and would work well but only as nn's (like Howie) .So I'd chose a longer "Cat" linked name for Kitty's BC - like Katerina, Christabel, Claudia, Tabitha etc and use Cecilia or Cecily for Cece (or you could pick any C first name with a C middle name).

KirstenBlest · 07/07/2021 18:42

Kitty - fine
Ottilie - german pronunciation is nice, uk pronuncistion usn't
Juniper - not a name
Cece - is it pronounce Cess like Cess Pit?
Kaia - ok
Aria - air. Too nothingy
Nova - prefer Chevette or Viva or am I being Cavalier?

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 07/07/2021 19:22

Out of them all I think I’d rather be called Nova. Kitty is ok as a nickname but really rather sweet and twee as an official name.

Hello Kitty
Here, Kitty kitty
Kitty cat pussy cat

Just really wouldn’t want that to be my name.
