Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DramaAlpaca · 06/07/2021 21:03

It's a surname, and not even an attractive one, so it's a big no from me.

MonkeyPuddle · 06/07/2021 21:05

Makes me think of cowboys.

TiddleTaddleTat · 06/07/2021 21:52

No... seen the Ozarks?

Chattercino · 06/07/2021 22:05

Australian surfer

MaMelon · 06/07/2021 22:07

Wyatt Earp Grin

Don’t do it OP, unless 19th century Wild West America is your thing.

thefirstmrsrochester · 06/07/2021 22:10

I like it although my first thought was Wyatt Earp as well.

user1495884211 · 06/07/2021 22:11

First thought is the Planet Rock DJ. He comes across as quite liking having an uncommon name.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/07/2021 22:15

I think it's still quite US cowboy sounding unfortunately if you are in the UK. I suppose you could claim you named him after Tudor poet Thomas Wyatt instead? That might be kinda cool.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/07/2021 22:17

(He was alleged to have been a lover of Anne Boleyn btw as well as a famous poet- so is fairly well known, but I still think a lot of people will think Wyatt Earp instead!)

SunSeaSurfGin · 06/07/2021 23:34

I knew an American girl called Wyatt. She was fab
Go for it

Lalliella · 07/07/2021 00:45

Surname. Not even a nice one. Don’t do it OP.

Benvolio · 07/07/2021 00:47

Lovely poet/courtier of 1500's. Didn't end well.

DerisorySnort · 07/07/2021 07:58

Yes, but not only that, Wyatt was his surname not his first name.

I really dislike those surnames used as given names.

TatianaBis · 07/07/2021 08:19

It’s fine in the US. Here it sounds absurd.

With a London accent it would be Wyer’.

anothernamereally · 07/07/2021 08:29

A lovely old English name

steelseries · 07/07/2021 08:36

Well it's my abusive ex's surname, so it's a no from me!

Even so I think it's horribly hard sounding and not attractive. If you were calling a child it sounds like your saying "QUIET!"

TenThousandSpoons · 07/07/2021 08:43

Awful.

SallySycamore · 07/07/2021 12:43

Definitely Wyatt Earp and the gunfight at the O.K. corral!

Mamamamasaurus · 07/07/2021 12:54

I know a child called Wyatt, it's horrible. Please don't.

VenusClapTrap · 07/07/2021 12:59

Not a very nice name.

35andThriving · 07/07/2021 16:14

It sounds like someone who has trouble with their rs saying riot.

HyggeTygge · 07/07/2021 16:20

Just to note a MNer lost her toddler daughter who had this as a first name. Please bear this in mind when responding. And I hope that family is doing ok. It was a terribly sad event. Flowers

TheFoundations · 07/07/2021 16:24

Wild West. Bit like 'Dwayne'.

Tairbear · 07/07/2021 16:36

Love it

Frazzled2207 · 07/07/2021 16:37

It makes me think of Ozark (Netflix).
Not terrible, but very American sounding.
And most accents wouldn't pronounce the t.
