Sister for Rowan

DS is Rowan and we'd like to stick with the botanical theme for his sister. Can I have your opinions on the following names on our shortlist (in no particular order):

Hazel
Iris
Jasmine
Willow

Middle name would be either Constance or Penelope and surname is Evans. Thanks!

I love Hazel. Absolutely beautiful and not very overused at all. Iris is also beautiful. Jasmine is a bit 80s for me. I know a number of Jasmine's in their 30s and 40s. Willow is v popular too so I'd not choose that.

Jasmine will almost always become Jazz...so depends on your feelings about that.

Iris Constance sounds beautiful and so does Hazel Constance but also Iris or Hazel Penelope sounds lovely!

Willow is quite popular, if thats a concern of yours.
Not a fan of Jasmine.
I like Hazel best- timeless, not overused, very pretty.
Iris is also very pretty.

I really like all of them, so you can't go wrong. Iris is probably my favourite, followed by Willow. Although if popularity is a concern, Hazel is probably the better choice. Jasmine is nice, but a bit Disney princess and will be shortened to Jas / Jazz, I imagine.

Have you thought about Sylvie / Sylvia? Less obvious botanical name and very beautiful. Also love Fern.

If it were me I would probably avoid trees. Two botanical names are fine, but two trees I find a bit overly matchy.

Ah I can see that people might think two tree names is a bit much, but it doesn't bother us :)

I like Jasmine and Hazel.

I like them all apart from Iris, it always makes me think of eyes but I know that I'm probably unusual in that.

How about Sorrel?

Definitely Hazel! And middle name Penelope.
Jasmine doesn’t have the same vibe and I don’t really like Willow.

Hazel - this is my favourite, lovely and so underused.

Iris - for me it makes me think of eyes not trees.

Jasmine - princesses, not trees for me.

Willow - very overused at the moment imo.

It has to be Hazel. It's the only one that has the same underused, classy feel of Rowan.

I like Iris and Jasmine best. There's also Fern which is nice.

Thanks everyone. Would Hazel with both middle names be too much? If so which middle name sounds best? Both names are of much loved and missed grandmothers.

Rose Constance Penelope Evans I think sounds nice. Some others:-

Iris is one of my favourite names. Hazel I’m less fond of but goes better with Rowan both conceptually and in terms of sound.

I prefer Hazel Constance Evans - I’m not sure what Penelope adds.
