Luca if there is a Lucas in the family?

Lucas is dp’s cousin ds.
Luca is the only boys name I’ve really stuck with

I think it's fine as it's a cousin's child. Unless you'd be seeing them often and the other child is a very similar age.

I mean they'll only be second cousins so I can't imagine it will be much of a problem. Unless you spend a lot of time with them?

I think they have a completely different feel. I have a Luca and don't really like Lucas and definitely not Luke.

Do you see them a lot? For me it would depend on how often they'll be in the same space?
If its just because they're a relation I'd still use it.
If you all live near each other and the children will be in the same school I might not, but I still might!

DP is unsure. Lucas was a long awaited baby and he doesn’t want to upset his parents. We don’t see them often, maybe once every couple of years!

I also have a cousin with a DS Lucas, although they live far away and the DC have never met. If you love the name, use it, especially as you rarely see the family.

How often do you see them? We see my partner’s cousins children a couple of times a year so wouldn’t use those names. But one of my cousins has three children, I’ve met the eldest once about eight years ago and not met the other two so wouldn’t feel like names were as off limits.
