Brainstorming baby names. I love the name Ella for a girl and Sam for a boy. Not very unique but I can't help but love them! Thoughts?

Do you mean for twins? Sam and Ella?
Old joke OP

How about Dya and Ria?

I had a friend who very nearly did this until she realised how the names sounded when you say them together. She kept one of her choices but had a rethink for the other one.

Nice try OP!

So believe it or not folks, I hadn't heard these names out aloud until I read these comments. Grin - duly noted though Haha - with this in mind any replacements for Sam that would go with Ella? Smile

Our Ella has brothers called Oli(ver), Harry and Bobby

I have a friend with an Ella who wanted Sam until she said them together! She went with Ben in the end, very nice name.

Adam sounds good with Ella- or any popular short name (Jack, Max, Leo, Theo, Harry etc). As pp note, Sam is too risky.

Maggiesfarm · 02/07/2021 21:40

Quite nice names though I hope 'Samuel' is on birth certificate, not 'Sam' even if you call him that.

I agree Sam&Ella sounds like food poisoning.

Why do the names have to "go" with each other? Are your children going to be joined at the hip for the rest of their lives?
