So I asked about honor names for Jasmine the other day (because I'm changing my name and wanted to explore names linked to my birth name)!

I then just looked at J names as I love them (especially the classic ones like James and Julian, less classic but popularon my birth year). I then looked at Joseph for ages and have always loved Joey as a nickname aswell and so wanted to see your thoughts on the name and nicknames you'd use.

It was in our top 3 names for DS but we chose something else

You could shorten to Joe, Joey or Seph

I have one. It’s a lovely name, easy to spell, nicknamable, classic.

Lobelia76 · 29/06/2021 20:42

Gorgeous name

Like it a lot. Could be Joey, Joe or Joss/Jos too.

I dislike Julian but Julius is ok.

We have a Joseph, but very deliberately not shortened to anything. If people call him Joe, he just politely says “It’s Joseph, not Joe”.

I have been known to call him Sephus on occasion, which he tolerates!!
